Profile
Pr. Marco Faustini was trained as a materials engineer between University of Trento (Italy) and Aalto University (Finland). He obtained his PhD in physics and chemistry of materials at Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France) working on self-assembly of sol-gel based magnetic nanomaterials for data storage. He then carried out a postdoctoral stay at POSTECH (South Korea) in the group of Prof. D.P.Kim, where he developed microfluidic synthesis of Metal-Organic Framework heterostrucures. Since 2012, he has served as Associate then Full Professor at Sorbonne University in Paris.
His research interests lie in the field of the synthesis and processing of porous materials and nanomaterials by combining colloidal self-assembly and nanolithography. Main applications are in the fields of electrocatalysis and photonics.
