Profile
Romain Bordes is leading a researcher group at the division of Applied Chemistry at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. With a background in surfactant chemistry, his work spans surface-active materials, nanocellulose, advanced colloidal systems and cultural heritage preservation, among others. His research activities bridges fundamental research and real-world applications in surface chemistry, material science, and environmental technologies.
In 2020, he started exploring the field of acoustic levitation applied to surface chemistry, and developed a new family of high performing levitators, that were then combined with different analytical techniques including x-ray scattering Raman spectroscopy or NMR.
